PACOIMA : Graffiti Cleanup to Be Held Saturday

Share

A cleanup effort targeting graffiti trouble spots in Pacoima and Lake View Terrace will take place Saturday, the third such event this year.

The ongoing Los Angeles County campaign to beautify graffiti-scarred areas will receive a boost from at least 30 Girl Scouts from the San Fernando Valley Girl Scouts Council, who will earn community service merit badges by removing graffiti from walls and other surfaces.

Community members are also invited to participate in the countywide Graffiti Cleanup Day, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon.

“It’s special recognition for the Scouts that are participating. If the larger community gets involved, so much the better for everybody,” said Joel Bellman, a press deputy for County Supervisor Ed Edelman.

The participants are scheduled to meet in front of Edelman’s field office in Pacoima, located at 11243 Glenoaks Blvd. The county is providing the paint and supplies.
