Bell Gardens : High School to Be Enclosed Inside 10-Foot-High Fence

Share

A 10-foot-high fence is being erected around Bell Gardens High School to keep students from straying off campus during the day.

High school officials requested the fence because of conversion to a closed campus. The Montebello Unified School District board last week unanimously approved spending nearly $32,000 for the fence, business manager Glenn J. Sheppard said.

Parts of the campus already are surrounded by a fence, Sheppard said. The new work calls for a cyclone fence and gates to be installed around the campus at 5620 Quinn St. It is expected to be finished by the time school opens Sept. 8.
