6 Men Flee After Holding Market Employees Hostage

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. —
Six men trying to rob a supermarket took eight employees hostage Wednesday before the victims escaped and called police. Sharpshooters surrounded the Albertson’s store, but when they entered about three hours later, the suspects also had fled. They reportedly were armed with three shotguns, an Uzi, a rifle and a .45-caliber pistol.
