Sick of Hearing Opinions of ‘Ethnocentric Fools’
* I am sick and tired of reading letters in the Valley Edition of your paper written by ethnocentric fools.
These letters smack of prejudice and serve only to fuel ill will and misunderstanding in our multicultural community. On Aug. 1, a letter appeared that claims street vendors sell corn “steamed in a garbage can.”
The writer should have concentrated on making his point about street vendors without sensationalizing it.
You should show more discretion in the letters you choose to publish. You should focus more on letters written by tolerant people who want to improve, not destroy, racial relations in the community.
