GOLF ROUNDUP : Stockton’s 66 Gives Him Two-Shot Lead

Dave Stockton shot a six-under 66 Saturday to open a two-shot lead at 10-under 134 heading into the final round of the PGA Senior Tour’s Franklin Quest Championship at Park City, Utah.

Stockton, who has won the Muratec Reunion and the Southwestern Bell Classic tournaments this year, made four birdies and one eagle on the par-72, 7,300-yard Park Meadow course.

Bob Betley, trying for a second consecutive Senior PGA Tour title, and 1989 champion Tom Shaw are tied for second at 136.

At seven-under 137 were Rocky Thompson, first-round leader Tom Weiskopf, and Jack Kiefer.

Alone at 138 was Al Geiberger. Three players are five strokes back at 139--DeWitt Weaver, Bruce Crampton and Charles Coody.

Cindy Schreyer shot a career-low 66 and shared the lead with Betsy King after three rounds of the LPGA Chicago Challenge at Naperville, Ill.

Schreyer, who began the day a stroke behind King and Marta Figueras-Dotti of Spain, had four birdies on the front nine of the 6,256-yard, par-72 White Eagle Golf Club course, then made a 15-foot birdie putt on No. 15 and a two-footer on No. 17.

King shot her third consecutive 67. She is tied with Schreyer at 201.

Kris Monaghan and Figueras-Dotti are four strokes back at 205.
