Share

James Worthy has been traded to the Klingons. The Laker forward will make a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of the television series, “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”

A longtime Star Trek fan, Worthy took executive producer Rick Berman to lunch and asked if Berman had a role for him.

“Obviously, we consented and now we’ve got the tallest (6-foot-9) Klingon on record,” Berman said, referring to the aggressive, often deadly enemies from the original “Star Trek” series.
