LA HABRA : Community Policing Topic for Police Chief
Police Chief Steven Staveley will talk about community policing Wednesday at a meeting of the County Line Chapter of United We Stand America.
North County residents are invited to the meeting, to be held at the La Habra Inn at 6:45 p.m.
In an effort to get residents more involved in fighting crime, Staveley said, he will discuss how residents can help police curb gang activity.
“We can’t expect government to solve all our problems,” Staveley said. “The police must work with the community to solve them.”
Also speaking will be Jim Camp and Troy Meier, members of the Orange County Tea Party. They will speak against a proposed Orange County vector control fee increase and urge people to contact their city councils to oppose the measure.
