Vintage Automobiles Sell for $3.9 Million

Vintage automobiles from the estate of B. Paul Moser and the collection of D. E. (Hap) Motlow were sold for a total of $3.9 million on Wednesday at a Sotheby’s auction in Solvang.

A 1912 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost known as the “Jade Rolls” brought $1.7 million--more than four times the price fetched by its closest competitor, a 1929 Mercedes Benz that was sold for $464,500.
