LONG BEACH : Gang Members Suspected in Fatal Shooting of 2 Men
Two gunmen were being sought Friday in the fatal shooting of two Cambodian-Americans in a suspected gang-related attack outside a Long Beach apartment building, police said.
The gunmen, believed to be members of a local Latino gang, opened fire late Thursday on a group standing in front of an apartment building a block west of Long Beach City College, apparently believing they were part of a rival gang, Long Beach Police Detective Estella Martinez said.
Choi Binh Trinh, 30, who lived down the street from where the shooting occurred, died at the scene. Noub Anthony Hov, 23, also a Long Beach resident, died at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
