Applicants Sought for Youth Council

Simi Valley officials are looking for applicants to serve on the Simi Valley Youth Council, an advisory panel that makes recommendations to the City Council on issues involving young people.

Applications are available for residents age 13 to 19 who want to serve a one-year term beginning Nov. 1. The forms must be returned by Sept. 24.

Each local high school and junior high school is represented on the Youth Council. Other members are appointed at-large. The Youth Council meets at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of the month in the community room at City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.

Applications are available at City Hall, the city’s Development Services Building, the Simi Valley Library, and at local junior highs and high schools.
