ARTS NOTES : Third John Denver Date Added
The Pacific Symphony has added a third date, Oct. 30, for pop singer John Denver’s engagement with the orchestra at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Previously announced concerts are on Oct. 29 and 31. Orchestra officials said Denver’s arrest last week in Aspen, Colo., on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol is not expected to present a conflict. Information: (714) 740-2000.

AN ORIGINAL: The Vanguard Theatre Ensemble in Fullerton announced Monday that it will produce its first original play--”Normal Doesn’t Mean Perfect,” by Don Gordon of Irvine--as the final offering of the 1993 season. The one-act comedy, to run Oct. 22 to Nov. 20, will be paired with “Riders to the Sea” by John Millington Synge. (714) 526-8007.
