La Puente Doctor’s Work Restricted

The Medical Board of California has restricted the practice of Dr. Eduardo H. Schneider of La Puente while state investigators pursue suspension or revocation of his medical license for alleged sexual assault of a patient and an employee.

Administrative Law Judge Paul Hogan granted an interim order on Sept. 3 against Schneider, a general practitioner, that prohibits him from examining females unless another adult female is present. The order also gives the medical board’s investigators the right to make unannounced surveillance visits at Schneider’s office and to examine his appointment books.

The board alleges Schneider sexually assaulted an 18-year-old female patient. In another incident, Schneider allegedly forced an employee onto an examination table and fondled her.
