Authorities on Sunday identified Juanito Rodriguez of Paramount as the 8-year-old boy killed when he was hit by gunfire during an apparent narcotics-related triple slaying Saturday at a restaurant in Paramount.

The two other victims were identified as Salvador Sanchez, 22, of Tempe, Ariz., and Felix Arredoneo, 34, of Downey. They were killed in a shootout that broke out at La Chiquita Restaurant on Paramount Boulevard between the two men and four others at another table.

A 39-year-old woman, Maria Mojarro of Bellflower, who was hit by a stray bullet, was treated at Charter Suburban Hospital on Saturday and released.

A source familiar with the incident said the two groups of men were each dining at the restaurant when the four suspects opened fire on Sanchez and Arredoneo, who then returned fire.

The four suspects, who are still at large, are described as Latino men ranging in ages from 18 to 30.
