Fire Damages Northridge School Auditorium
A fire erupted at Northridge Middle School early Thursday morning and caused $100,000 damage to the school’s auditorium, a fire dispatcher said.
The fire at 4:25 a.m. caused no injuries and was limited to a storage area and an adjacent stage in the single-story building at 17960 Chase St., Los Angeles Fire Department dispatcher Brian Humphrey said. It took 25 firefighters about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
