SAN DIEGO--The 10th American Indian Day, featuring arts and crafts, music, dance and food, will take place Saturday and next Sunday from 9 a.m. to dusk at Balboa Park, Park Boulevard and President's Way. Free. (619) 281-5964.

HANFORD--Lion dancers and martial arts demonstrations will be part of the 14th Moon Festival, noon-5 p.m. Oct. 2. LAKE MIRAMAR--Scenic Lake Miramar will be the setting for the second San Diego County American Heart Walk on Oct. 2. Registration for the five-mile walk is at 7:30; the walk is at 8:30. SAN JOSE--Bocce ball, opera, wine and food and an open-air Mass are samples of what's in store at the 17th Italian American Cultural Festival, Oct. 2-3 at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, 344 Tully Road. 11 a.m.-midnight Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. $3 general, $1 kids 5-12, free for kids under 5. HEALDSBURG--Fall will be celebrated with three Oct. 16 events. A Pumpkin Festival will be held at the farmers' market, 9 a.m.-noon in West Plaza, Vine and North streets. (707) 431-1956. The seventh Beer and Sausage Tasting is 4-7 p.m. at Villa Chanticleer, 1248 N. Fitch Mountain Road.
