LA HABRA : City Renews Permits for 2 Businesses

Share

The City Council has renewed entertainment permits for two businesses that had been monitored by police for several months.

Police reviewed four calls for service at B & E Saloon between May and September and five calls at La Habra 300 Bowl between June and September and recommended that the entertainment permits for both establishments be renewed.

Two of the calls to the B & E Saloon resulted in no arrests, and the other two involved misdemeanors, police said, noting that calls to the bar had decreased compared with calls placed during the same review period last year.

The council unanimously voted to renew B & E Saloon’s permit but required that it be reviewed again in three months.

The bar now will be allowed to continue operating two pool tables, a jukebox, a video poker game and a dart game.

Since none of the La Habra 300 Bowl calls resulted in charges being filed, council members renewed its entertainment permit for a year, meaning the establishment can keep operating its 11 video games, three pinball machines, pool table, karaoke machine and several vending machines.
