ROUNDUP : Futurity Is Won by Favorite

Heavily favored Polar Expedition easily outran a field of five other 2-year-olds to win the $200,000 Arlington-Washington Futurity at Arlington International Racecourse on Saturday.
Ridden by Curt Borque, Polar Expedition was never threatened and covered one mile in 1:39 1/5 over a sloppy track.
He finished 4 1/2 lengths in front of Gimme Glory, with Delicate Cure another half-length back.
It was the fourth victory in five career starts for the son of Kodiack and pushed the colt’s earnings to $173,375.
Polar Expedition returned $2.60, $2.40, and $2.10. Gimme Glory paid $4.20 and $2.60 and Delicate Cure paid $2.60.

Siebe circled the field coming into the stretch and then ran down Cigar and Nonproductiveasset in the final yards to win the $100,000 Ascot Handicap at Bay Meadows.
Siebe, ridden by Ron Hansen and trained by former jockey Frank Olivares, finished a neck in front of Nonproductiveasset, who edged Cigar by a head for second.
Siebe completed 1 1/16 miles on the Longden Turf Course in 1:41 2/5 and returned $58.80, $20.40 and $15.20. Nonproductiveasset paid $12.60 and $8.40, while Cigar returned $5.80.
Manny’s Prospect, the 5-2 favorite, finished ninth in the field of 11 3-year-olds.

Bibury Court led wire to wire in the $125,000 Alysheba Stakes for 2-year-olds at Turfway Park in Florence, Ky.
Ridden by Scott Saito, Bibury Court won by a length Moving Van to return $70.80, $32.20 and $12. Moving Van paid $6.80 and $3.40. Durham returned $4.
Bibury Court covered 1 1/16 miles over a sloppy track in 1:47 3/5.
Moving Van finished a neck in front of Durham. Another neck back was the favorite, Squire Jones, who stumbled coming out of the gate.

McKaymackenna scored a 2 1/2-length victory over La Piaf in the $75,000-added Noble Damsel Stakes at Belmont Park.
McKaymackenna covered 1 1/16 miles over a good Widener turf course in 1:43 3/5 and returned $7, $3.60 and $3.20. La Piaf paid $5.80 and $4.20 and Heed returned $4.
