FRIDAY FOOTBALL ROUNDUP
Palisades 27, Los Angeles 22--Los Angeles scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but could not come back from a 27-point deficit as the host Romans lost their Coastal Conference opener.
Trailing 27-0, the Romans charged back on three touchdown passes by quarterback Patrick Regan in the last eight minutes of the game. A seven-yard touchdown catch by tight end Akeem Onaolapo and a two-point conversion closed the gap to 27-22 with nine seconds left in the game, but Palisades recovered an onside kick to secure the victory. Next week: Los Angeles at Manual Arts.
