Bell Gardens 27, Salesian 6--Driven by a powerful running game, Bell Gardens beat undermanned Salesian in a nonleague game at St. John Bosco.

Senior running back Junior Samano led the Lancers with 160 yards in 21 carries and two touchdowns. Next week: El Rancho at Bell Gardens; Salesian vs. Western Christian at Wilson.
