Vargas Passes for 7 Touchdowns in Nevada Rout

RENO — Chris Vargas completed 30 of 39 passes for a school-record 538 yards and seven touchdowns in three quarters as Nevada routed rival Nevada Las Vegas, 49-14, Saturday in a Big West Conference game.
Nevada (3-2, 1-1 in Big West) rolled up a school-record 796 yards against UNLV (1-4, 0-1), breaking the mark of 706 yards set in 1948.
