‘Cafe Society’ Must Alert the Trashperson

I wish much success to Michele Siepp and her new column (“Cafe Society,” Sept. 24) as it seems clever and timely, but please, can she dispense with absurdities such as waitpersons for waiters or waitresses? What’s wrong with servers ?”

Waitperson belongs in the trash heap of political correctness with personhole cover and freshperson. Even Hollywood calls its inhabitants actors except at categorically imperative Oscar time.
