William M. Whitney of Pasadena has been named the 1993-94 president of the Caltech Alumni Assn. The association strengthens ties between the institute and alumni, encourages fellowship among association members, and supports student activities by fostering student-alumni contact.
Whitney was a physics graduate of Caltech in 1951. He is a technologist for the observational systems division at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Susan N. Mossman of Pasadena has been named executive director of Pasadena Heritage.
As program director, Mossman organized tours and events. She was also editor of the organization’s newsletter and other publications.
Pasadena Heritage is a nonprofit historic preservation organization with more than 2,000 members in the greater Pasadena area.
