Nebraska got on track after a sluggish first half, getting big plays from its offense and special teams to defeat Oklahoma State, 27-13, and give Coach Tom Osborne his 200th victory.

Nebraska, 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the Big Eight Conference, hasn’t lost to the Cowboys since 1961.

The seventh-ranked Cornhuskers fell behind, 13-3, in the first half as Oklahoma State (3-2, 0-1) took advantage of good field position and held Nebraska in check.

Nebraska’s offense got going in the second half, when field position swung in the Cornhuskers’ favor. When Barron Miles blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone early in the fourth quarter, Nebraska had the lead for the first time.

Tailback Calvin Jones added a 44-yard touchdown run with 3:38 to play and finished with 136 yards rushing in 21 carries.

Osborne, in his 21st season, is 200-46-3. He is the 11th coach to win 200 games and joins Joe Paterno of Penn State and Bobby Bowden of Florida State as the only active coaches to do so.
