PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Collins Released, Griffin Joins Roster

Linebacker Brett Collins was released to make room on the Rams’ roster for defensive back Courtney Griffin.

The Rams claimed Collins off waivers from Green Bay earlier in the week in a move to improve their special teams. However, Collins failed to impress, and the team needed additional help in its secondary tonight against Atlanta’s run-and-shoot attack.

Griffin, who had been on the Rams’ practice squad, will make his first NFL start tonight.
