CAMARILLO : Student Joggers Raise Funds for Activities
- Share via
Elementary students at Las Colinas School in Camarillo raised $45,000 to help pay for school field trips and other activities at a daylong jogathon, Principal Dianne Quinby-Anders said.
The fourth annual event raised slightly more money than last year’s jogathon, Quinby-Anders said. The final figure includes pledges collected from the families and friends of the 1,100 kindergarten through eighth-grade joggers.
“This is a big community event,” Quinby-Anders said. “Everybody participates, with a few exceptions.”
The funds will help pay for field trips, assemblies and incentive programs.
