In another Sunset League girls’ volleyball match:

Edison 3, Marina 0--Tina Daly had 11 kills and 11 digs and Jennifer Porterfield had 13 blocks and 11 kills for the ninth-ranked Chargers (10-3, 9-2), who won, 17-15, 15-12, 15-9.

Ocean View 3, Rosary 1--Jaqueline Knebel had 15 kills for Ocean View (6-6, 5-6), which won 12-15, 15-13, 15-7, 15-10. Natalie Scott had 16 kills for Rosary (5-8, 3-8).

In the Academy League:

St. Margaret’s 3, Wildomar Cal Lutheran 0--Monica Girard had 12 kills and Lisa Bevill had 27 assists as St. Margaret’s won, 15-5, 15-6, 15-3.

In the Century League:

Orange 3, Canyon 0--Charlene Conley had 19 kills for Orange (8-5, 4-3), which won, 16-14, 15-7, 15-1.

In the Empire League:

Esperanza 3, Cypress 0--Lynette Anderson had 10 kills and Starr Hinojos had nine for Esperanza (9-2, 6-1) in a 15-8, 15-5, 15-5 victory.

Los Alamitos 3, Loara 0--Stacy Laitsch had 17 kills, six blocks and three digs for No. 9 Los Alamitos (11-1, 7-0), which won, 15-2, 15-1, 15-5.

Katella 3, El Dorado 0--Debra Vargas had 11 kills and six aces for Katella (7-6, 4-3), which won, 15-13, 16-14, 15-7.

In the Garden Grove League:

La Quinta 3, Garden Grove 0--Jennifer Holcomb had six kills and two blocks as La Quinta (11-2, 10-1) defeated host Garden Grove, 15-12, 15-8, 15-7.

Kennedy 3, Pacifica 2--Krista Dowland had 16 kills and four aces for Kennedy (12-1, 11-0), which won, 12-15, 15-12, 13-15, 15-13, 17-15.

In the Orange League:

Western 3, Magnolia 1--Amy Sheets and Celeste Manliguis each had seven kills to lead Western (6-7, 5-2) to a 15-7, 16-14, 7-15, 15-9 victory.

In the Orange League:

Valencia 3, Brea-Olinda 1--Carrie Ritchey and Michelle Shear each had 13 kills as Valencia (10-3, 6-1) avenged its only league loss and handed Brea-Olinda its first loss in league, 15-1, 15-4, 14-16, 15-8. Brea-Olinda’s overall record drops to 7-4.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 3, Mission Viejo 1--Steph Wichman and Suzanne Shaw had 16 kills each for Capistrano Valley in a 15-10, 7-15, 15-12, 15-10 victory.

In Sea View League girls’ tennis:

Woodbridge 9, Newport Harbor 9 (Woodbridge wins on games, 75-71)--Natalie Exon swept her sets, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0, as Woodbridge (14-4, 9-3), ranked fifth in the county, beat top-ranked Newport Harbor (16-2, 11-1).

Santa Margarita 10, Irvine 8--Tracy Keyser won two of her three sets to lead visiting Santa Margarita (10-8, 5-7). Sarah Denson swept her sets for Irvine (9-8, 4-8).

In the Century League:

Foothill 10, Villa Park 8--Foothill (6-13, 5-4) upset No. 6-ranked Villa Park, as the doubles teams of Lindsay Drake-Jane Park (6-3, 6-3, 6-0), and Jennifer Park-Sarah Rubin (6-4, 6-3, 6-0) swept.

In the Freeway League:

Fullerton 11, Sonora 7--Jane Skubin and Cyndie Tran of Fullerton (8-10, 6-2) swept their matches, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0; 6-4, 6-0, 6-2.

In the Olympic League:

Whittier Christian 12, Orange Lutheran 6--Lisa Lucero swept her sets, 6-4, 6-0, 6-1, to lead Whittier Christian (7-2, 5-2) to the victory on the road. Orange Lutheran fell to 7-6 and 5-3 in league.

In the Sunset League:

Edison 12, Marina 6--Tami Demaree and Michelle Turner swept their doubles sets, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0, to lead Edison (15-2, 12-0).

Fountain Valley 10, Huntington Beach 8--Nina Basica won her three sets at 6-0 for Fountain Valley (8-7, 8-4).
