Thee White House Restaurant is serving up a haunting menu on Saturday night, complete with an appearance by an Elvira look-alike.

The dinner, from 8 to 10 p.m., is $40 a person, excluding tax and tip. The four courses are black lobster ravioli, gnocchi with Pecorino cheese sauce, a choice of prime ribs of pork or cat fish fra diavolo and pumpkin creme brulee .

Customers who dine in costume will have a chance to win a dinner for four or a lunch for four at the restaurant.

Pascal Olhats, owner of the Newport Beach restaurant Pascal, is planning to open a retail and catering business at the end of November. Pascal Epicerie, next to Pascal, will sell food and wine to go and will offer coffee, pastries and other light fare on site.

“People don’t want to go to a restaurant every night,” Olhats said.

“They want something good they can take home with them, that’s easy to prepare.”

He is also planning to start a catering business from the new location, he said.
