Prop. 170

Share

* As the father of Prop. 170, I was pleased to see Larry Levine’s piece (Commentary, Oct. 25).

Prop. 170 presents voters with two questions: Do we need to lessen classroom overcrowding and do we need to give local voters more control over local school construction? If you answer yes to these questions, then you must support Prop. 170.

Prop. 170 already has tremendous broad-based and bipartisan support because its passage is essential to our school children. That’s why support for this measure continues to grow and includes such highly respected and diverse groups as the California Chamber of Commerce, the League of Women Voters, the State PTA, the California Business Roundtable, peace officer groups, educators, labor and Common Cause.

Election Day is Tuesday, and I hope that for the sake or our children, Prop. 170 becomes law on Nov. 3.
