Remember Launderland, the laundromat in Stanton where the walls were decorated with thrift store art last summer? Owner Jerry Longeuay has a new concept: “W.E. C.A.R E.!,” which stands for “when encouraged, children always reach expectations.” Each month Launderland will feature art by local elementary-school students. The November theme is “Thanksgiving through the imagination of fifth graders.” Launderland is at 12505 S. Beach Blvd. and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. (714) 897-7739.
