MicroAge Stores to Sell AST’s Full Line of Computers

AST Research Inc. said Monday that MicroAge Computer Centers Inc. will begin selling AST’s full line of computers in its retail stores.

MicroAge, based in Tempe, Ariz., markets and distributes computers through a network of more than 1,500 franchised, company-owned and affiliated reseller locations. The company’s fiscal 1993 revenue was more than $1.5 billion.

Officials at AST’s Irvine headquarters said the agreement will not affect the company’s relationships with other customers. For its latest fiscal year, AST reported revenue of $1.4 billion.
