Bell Gardens 27, Ventura 18--Bell Gardens scored nine points in a 33-second span late in the fourth quarter to break an 18-18 tie at Ventura.
Ventura (8-3) tied the score, 18-18, on a one-yard run by Dwayne Mathis early in the fourth quarter. Ventura’s Ramsey Jay returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown and teammate Aaron Davis rushed 12 times for 100 yards.
