Businesses Pulled Together After Fire

Share

* As terrible and devastating as the recent fires in Southern California have been, there has been one positive effect: People have pulled together. That is also true of the business community in Orange County.

The Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross, which mobilized quickly and compassionately to assist fire victims, turned to our company for assistance in its time of need.

In less than a week, we were joined by several caring companies who contributed more than $400,000 to replenish the coffers of the Red Cross and ensure that the organization will be able to meet the challenges of the next disaster.

I want to personally thank the corporate citizens who answered my call to assist the Red Cross, including Irvine Health Foundation, The Times Orange County, Dimension Cable, AST Research, Rockwell International, Fluor Corp., Sares Regis Group and Robert Bein William Frost & Associates.

Their generous support of the Red Cross deserves the thanks and appreciation of the entire Orange County community, and should be remembered the next time a disaster strikes.
