DANA POINT : Meeting to Focus on Town Revitalization

Share

A public forum to discuss ways of revitalizing the downtown area will be held at City Hall on Dec. 2.

City officials are looking for input on the town center plan, which proposes ways to develop the aesthetic and economic attractiveness of downtown Dana Point.

Several options will be brought up, including allowing two-way traffic on Pacific Coast Highway. Currently, the major highway becomes a one-way street when it passes through downtown Dana Point.

Also presented at the meeting will be an economic study that looks into how the town center area can be marketed for tourism and other retail sales.

City planners will also release the results of a survey that was sent to merchants and residents of the downtown area.
