Antelope Valley Public Transit to Shut Down on Thanksgiving
Public transportation will not be available in the Antelope Valley Thursday as the system shuts down for the Thanksgiving holiday, according to the Antelope Valley Transit Authority.
Transit service will in operation Friday, but at a reduced level. Local routes will follow a Saturday schedule, which runs fewer hours and buses than regular weekdays. Dial-a-Ride, which offers door-to-door service to senior citizens and the disabled, will also operate at a reduced level.
Due to the reduced ridership, the transit agency will have just four buses taking commuters to and from downtown Los Angeles and only two buses going to the San Fernando Valley and back.
For additional schedule information call (805) 945-9445.
