NBA ROUNDUP : Jazz Holds Off the Knicks, 103-96
Karl Malone scored 29 points, including key baskets that stifled New York rallies in the final three minutes, and the Utah Jazz defeated the Knicks, 103-96, Monday night at Salt Lake City.
Jeff Malone added 18 points. John Stockton had 17 points and 13 assists for the Jazz.
Patrick Ewing and John Starks each scored 21 points for the Knicks.
Seattle 103, Washington 96--The SuperSonics tied a club record with 23 steals and got 18 points each from Shawn Kemp and Kendall Gill at Seattle.
Kemp also led the SuperSonics with nine rebounds and six steals. Detlef Schrempf added 15 points for the SuperSonics, who won their fourth in a row.
