King update--Left wing Dan Currie, called up from Phoenix on Thursday, practiced on a line with Wayne Gretzky on Friday. “I’m thinking of putting him (Currie) with Wayne and Jari,” King Coach Barry Melrose said. “How about Gretzky, Kurri and Currie? That will confuse the announcers.” Melrose said right wing Tony Granato might return tonight. Granato (strained lower back) sat out Wednesday’s game against Florida.

Blues update--St. Louis has been struggling on the road--sound familiar? The Blues have lost five consecutive road games, starting with a loss to the Kings on Nov. 13. Defenseman Phil Housley, who has been limited to 13 games because of an injured back, attempted to resume skating but probably won’t play tonight or Sunday against the Mighty Ducks. Leading the Blues is right wing Brett Hull with 17 goals and 37 points in 25 games. Left wing Brendan Shanahan has 35 points in 27 games.
