A wildlife worker who was mauled by a lion at a West Palm Beach park locked herself in a cage until help came. Katrina Dillon, 27, was in critical but stable condition after surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital, said Robert Holcomb, general manager at Lion Country Safari. The 450-pound lion apparently pushed open a steel door and entered a holding area where it attacked Dillon, Holcomb said.
