THOUSAND OAKS : Woman Arrested in Shooting Spree Case

A 46-year-old woman who failed to show up for court last week after being accused of going on a drunken shooting spree in Thousand Oaks was arrested Tuesday at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Woodland Hills, investigators said.

Kathleen Ann Quinn has been undergoing psychological treatment at the hospital, her attorney said. She was booked at Ventura County Jail, a jail spokesman said.

Her arrest ended a 10-day episode in which she was booked at County Jail and released, was charged with 15 criminal counts and missed her lone scheduled court appearance.

Quinn was first arrested after allegedly shooting at houses and cars with a .22-caliber rifle while cruising the streets of Thousand Oaks on Dec. 12.

She posted a $5,000 bail and was released about 16 hours after her arrest.

Four days later, prosecutors charged her with 15 criminal counts in connection with the shooting, including 12 felonies. She did not show up for her arraignment the following day, however.

Her disappearance prompted a Municipal Court judge to raise her bail to $50,000 and issue an arrest warrant for her capture.

Defense attorney Robert J. Cohen told the judge where Quinn was, leading to her arrest Tuesday, Sgt. Dan Coons said. She is expected to be arraigned today.
