A man was hit by a car and tossed into the path of an oncoming train but was rescued by a police officer with just seconds to spare.

Roberto Espinosa, 20, was struck by a car while crossing the tracks and could not get up because of sharp pain in his ribs and leg.

Officer John Inho saw the accident while answering a burglar alarm at a liquor store. He ran over and helped Espinosa to his feet as the train’s horn sounded and warning lights flashed. Seconds later, the train passed.
