The Lynwood High team argued the case, centering on an alleged child abduction, before a Los Angeles Superior Court judge. Two professional attorneys scored the teams.

Walter F. Dexter Intermediate School of Whittier defeated Lynwood’s Fred W. Hosler Junior High School in the final round of the junior competition.

The competition is sponsored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation, a Los Angeles-based group that arranges programs to educate young people about the law and community involvement.
