Ventura County’s largest labor union has reelected a county planner as its president and chosen five other officers for 1994.

In elections last week, Service Employees International Union Local 998, which represents about 6,000 public employees, reelected Steve Wood to serve his third consecutive term as president.

Wood and other officers of Local 998 pledged to devote themselves to boosting union membership and working to elect pro-labor politicians.

Two new officers were also chosen. David Hartsuck, an employee of the city of Oxnard, became secretary, and Darrel Moon of the Oxnard Harbor District was elected treasurer.
