An exhibit by internationally recognized artist and author Francoise Gilot entitled “Mythology of the Gods” will be on display at the Severin Wunderman Museum in Irvine beginning Jan. 8. The exhibit will run through April 8.

The exhibit is described by museum officials as a “forceful and vigorous incarnation” of the gods and goddesses of classical Greece.

The nonprofit museum, which opened in 1985, is noted for exploring the social, political, and cultural world of 20th century artists such as Sarah Bernhardt, Jean Cocteau, Isadora Duncan, Pablo Picasso, Beatrice Wood and Gilot.
