It’s Time to Stop the Mudslinging
* I think it is time to refer the Lee A. Branch matter to the Orange County Grand Jury for review. Branch has served the community well in his years in office (as county recorder), and a personal relationship with an employee should not be a factor in their review. This type of mudslinging is no longer considered an issue, when we compare other elected officials who have broken the rules more severely, i.e. draft dodging, womanizing, lied in their resumes, accepted bribes, etc. Our county supervisors already have a candidate in the wings (Gary Granville), and would be very disappointed if their political maneuvering failed them.
