LOS ANGELES : Suit Against Michael J. Fox’s Realty Agents Is Dismissed

Share

Superior Court Judge Florence T. Pickard threw out a lawsuit Tuesday against a real estate company and its agents who sold actor Michael J. Fox’s ranch home in Studio City to a woman who described it as a dream house that turned into a nightmare.

Michele Ader filed suit against Fox, his business manager, the Jon Douglas Co. and two of its agents over landscaping and repairs to the $750,000 home.

The judge threw out the suit against Jon Douglas and its agents and also dismissed the conspiracy and infliction of emotional distress allegations against Fox and his manager. The judge left intact the lawsuit’s three remaining allegations against Fox and a single allegation of negligent misrepresentation against the manager.

The suit alleges that the actor failed to deal with a potential termite problem, replace dead trees and that he knew more than a dozen cypresses were diseased but failed to tell Ader.
