GOOD MORNING, VIETNAM: Bryan Adams will become the first Western rocker to perform a concert in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, as part of his 28-date tour of Asia and Australia.
Adams will play two shows at a 2,000-plus-seat venue next Sunday. The concert comes at a time when Vietnam is making an aggressive push to attract Western artists, tourists and, most importantly, capital.
“There are millions of fans (here) who are anxious to see and hear popular Western musicians,” said Ho Hai Long of the Ministry of Commerce Trade Information Center in Hanoi.
