Sfuzzi and Caymus Vineyard to Team Up on 4-Course Meal

Sfuzzi in Costa Mesa is playing host to Caymus Vineyard on Monday for a dinner accompanied by the vineyard’s wines. The four-course meal, which begins at 7 p.m., is $45 per person, plus tax and tip. Among the courses are a warm salmon and leek tart with roasted tomatoes and arugula, paired with Caymus Conundrum 1992; and pan-seared veal medallions with sage, Romano potatoes and red onion cherry confit, with Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, special select, 1989.

Diners can share a table with some of the area’s French chefs on Monday night at 6:30 at Pascal.

The price is $65 for the four-course meal, which includes a goat cheese salad, a cheese souffle and wine.

Among the chefs attending will be Jean Pierre Lemanissier of Restaurant Antoine and Christian Rassinoux of the Ritz-Carlton.

On Tuesday, Antonello Ristorante and Newport Tobacco will host a special evening for cigar enthusiasts, complete with a visit from Richard Carleton Hacker, author of “The Ultimate Cigar Book.”

The $100-per-plate dinner, beginning at 6, includes a four-course Italian meal, cigars, cognac and a book-signing by Hacker. Tax and tip are included.

Gandhi has a special offer for dinner this month: two appetizers, a main course, dessert and tea or coffee for $18.95 per person, plus tax and tip.

The appetizers are a vegetable samosa and chicken tikka. The main course is lamb pasanda (lamb in green curry with fresh cream and tomato), served with saag paneer, garlic naan and pulao rice.

The Ritz in Newport Beach has been rated No. 1 in the nation for outstanding service by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine. The magazine, which said that 7,000 readers nationwide participated in the survey, published the results in its January issue.
