Chamber-Music Concerts Set at Bowers Museum

Pacific Symphony has announced two pairs of chamber-music concerts at the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art, continuing the chamber-music program the orchestra revived last year after a four-year hiatus.

Each program will be given twice, and the $50 concert ticket will include a dinner at the museum’s Topaz Cafe.

Dinners begin at 6 p.m., concerts at 8 p.m.

The first pair of programs Feb. 25 and 27 will include works by Mendelssohn, Hindemith, Stravinsky and Bright Sheng, played by clarinetist James Kanter, pianists John Novacek and Bright Sheng, violinist Sheryl Staples and cellist Timothy Landauer.

The second concerts will take place May 13 and 15 with music by Bach, Mozart and Faure played by flutist Louise DiTullio, pianist Chester Swiatkowski, violinist Clayton Haslop, violist Robert Becker and cellist Landauer.
