NBA ROUNDUP : Nuggets Go 2 Overtimes, Beat Rockets

Reggie Williams and Brian Williams made baskets in the final minute of the second overtime, helping the Denver Nuggets end a four-game losing streak with a 111-106 victory over the Houston Rockets on Thursday night at Denver.

The Rockets, who have lost their last four games, rebounded from an 18-point first-quarter deficit to draw into a 92-92 tie at the end of regulation.

Houston scored seven consecutive points early in the first overtime, but Denver countered with a 7-0 run of its own. A tip-in by Dikembe Mutombo with 11.6 seconds to play made the score 103-103, forcing a second overtime.

Reggie Williams finished with 25 points, and Mutombo had 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Otis Thorpe led Houston with 24 points and 20 rebounds.

Minnesota 93, San Antonio 83--Doug West scored 23 points at Minneapolis to help the Timberwolves defeat the Spurs for only the third time in 23 games since Minnesota joined the NBA at the start of the 1989-90 season.
