‘Vigilante Justice,’ Menendez Trial
* Society continues to miss the message of murder trials like that of the highly publicized Menendez case. Until laws are established to protect children from violence in the home, we will be faced with our children turning their pain against their tormentors. Similar murder cases will perpetually riddle society.
Earlier this year, America wept as Baby Jessica was ripped from the only home she had ever known. Whose rights were protected then?
Thousands upon thousands of children’s rights remain unprotected. Baby Jessica and the Menendez brothers may not be so different. Their rights as children were ignored. Let’s start protecting our children . . . and our future.
