An armed robbery at a Thousand Oaks electronics store ended with the arrest of five people following a pursuit into Los Angeles County, authorities said Thursday.

The robbery occurred about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when four armed men forced a lone employee of the Circuit City on West Hillcrest Drive back into the store just as she was locking up for the night.

The robbers ordered the woman to lay on the floor and took cash from the office before fleeing.

A person near the store saw the robbers leaving and gave the car’s description and license plate number to Ventura County sheriff’s deputies. The car was spotted heading toward Los Angeles County and, after a brief pursuit, five suspects were arrested in Tarzana.

Joy Griffin, 36; Marvin Moore, 28; Anthony Grady, 27; Keith McCalley, and a fifth suspect whose name was not immediately known were booked into the Ventura County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery. The five Los Angeles men were being held in lieu of $20,000 bail apiece.

Sheriff’s deputies in Thousand Oaks also responded to an armed robbery at the Black Angus restaurant on Thousand Oaks Boulevard about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Two armed men entered the restaurant after it closed, told employees to get on the ground and stole cash from an office safe. They left the area on foot.

The case is still under investigation.
